Why Hello There!

I just used the basic internet channel. Nintendo updated it to be free awhile ago.
The only downside is that if you don't have USB keyboard for it, the wiimote has the annoying ass function where it vibrates every time you select a letter.
I had to quit halfway through that post, take a break and come back to finish it 'cause it was making my hand go numb.

I didn't have that problem when I used it in the past. There must be a way to disable that. That's pretty funny though.
Surfing the net on the Wii is difficult at best, but there's something interesting and gimmicky about that that makes it worthwhile.
We should get some Smash Bros. going sometime. My friends and I all suffered the banhammer that comes with modding your 360, so I now seek online gaming in other formats...granted, very poor formats, but other formats nonetheless. At least Wiis won't get banned for being modded.

They did actually.
The 4.1 update bricked all Wiis with modded software on them. In such a way that Nintendo would know which ones were and which ones weren't, and then refuse repair on the modded ones.
It was sneaky as all hell.
EDIT: As a sidenote, that doesn't sound too bad. Friend Codes, people!

Well, I'm not sure how that applies to new Wiis, but with mine, I just don't update it. There's no need to. There are special means for updating and downloading games and whatnot. So the interaction shouldn't be a problem. As opposed to a 360, where it won't let you do anything unless you update it.
Breaking news, this just in: Apparently they at least did something; newer games can't be burned to a disc, you have to play them off of a SD card. Such as New Super Mario Bros. What a pain in the ass.

EDIT: Also, Wii number. Let's send pointless messages! 0161-3980-3949-0282

Seriously? Does New Super Mario Bros. have online? Or is it just 4 people in the same house? 'Cause that game looks fucking awesome.
Also, I'll get my friend code in a bit. Have to turn on the wii, and whatnot first.
EDIT: Also, size? 'cause my phone has an SD card I never use. Or at least, only used for music.

I'm not sure. I think the Wii holds up to a 4GB SD card. If not 4 then 2. I can't find the mini SD card I used to use...dammit. I definitely want to play that game also. There's no way it'd be 4-player online...Nintendo doing something modern? The world would no sooner implode.
Boo on you, Exit! We'll just have to find others...although I'm not sure who, besides Elle, has a Wii here. Does Ryo have one? Perhaps Snag?

Indeed. I'm sure there are close to a dozen first-party ones....
Mario Kart
Smash Bros.
Mario Galaxy
New Super Mario Bros.
Super Paper Mario
Metroid Prime 3 / Metroid Prime Trilogy
Mario Baseball
Mario Tennis(is that out yet? I think it is)
Mario Soccer(wait, that one sucked. Don't count it)
Okay, well not a dozen, but once you throw in third-party games and WiiWare it's not so bad. The new Crystal Chronicles and Silent Hill games are what I'm waiting for. Plus, they're making Mega Man 10 for WiiWare, that'll be cool.
