Shadowlord
This is the blurb. It is a lengthy, flavorful description of this class, which will fill up a large area of space right around here and be very informative and nice. This section looks weird without it, so the sooner we write one, the better. Hit Die: d8. Pre-requisites: Alignment: Any non-lawful. Class Skills Skill Ranks per Level: 6 + Int modifier. |

Shadowsight (Ex): A shadowlord gains a superior version of Darkvision. He may see up to 60ft in any kind of darkness, mundane or magical, such as that created by the Darkness spell.
Rogue Talent (Ex): At 1st level, a Shadowlord gains a mastery of trickery. This functions as the rogue talent class feature. A Shadowlord may not select an individual talent more than once. If the Shadowlord has the Advanced Talents rogue class feature, she can choose the advanced talents list. At 5th level, the Shadowlord may choose a second rogue talent.
Shadow Jump (Su): At 1st level, a Shadowlord gains the ability to travel between shadows quickly, as though he were casting Dimension Door. The Shadowlord may only use this ability to travel between shadows, beginning and ending the jump in some sort of dim light. A Shadowlord may jump 40 feet each day in this way. For every second level beyond 1st, this number doubles (80ft at 3rd, 160ft at 5th). This amount can be split among many jumps, but each one, no matter how small, counts as a 10ft increment. If the Shadowlord possesses Shadow Jump from another source, such as Shadowdancer, he instead gains an additional 20 feet of distance per day for each class level in Shadowlord he possesses.
Shadow Blur (Su): At 2nd level, a Shadowlord can warp and twist the shadows around him. So long as he remains in dim light or darker he is considered under the effect of the Blur spell. This is not negated by darkvision, low-light vision, or see invisibilty. True seeing does not negate the miss chance, as granted by the lighting. A Shadowlord may begin or end this effect as a free action.
Sneak Attack (Ex): This functions exactly like the rogue class feature of the same name. The extra damage increases at 2nd and 4th level. If the Shadowlord gets a sneak attack bonus from another source, these bonuses stack.
Shadow Walk (Sp): At 3rd level, a Shadowlord gains the ability to use shadow walk, once per day, as a caster whose level is equal to his Shadowlord class level. If he previously possessed shadow walk, he gains an extra use per day.
Shadow Pounce (Ex): At 4th level, a Shadowlord learns to attack swift from the shadows. Any time he uses an ability, effect or spell with the [teleporation] descriptor (his Shadow Jump ability, for example), he may make a full attack action upon completion of his teleportation. The shadowlord must have line of sight to the intended target from his original location and the spot to which he teleports must be a place from which he can launch a melee attack at the intended target with whatever weapon he was holding before his movement. The Shadowlord may only do this once per round, regardless of how many times he teleports in a round.
Shadow Discorporation (Su): At 5th level, the Shadowlord's mastery of shadows allows him to cheat death. If the shadowlord is in dim light or darker, any damage that would reduce him to 0 or fewer hit points instead has a chance to discorporate him. The Shadowlord attempts a Reflex save (DC 5 + damage dealt); if successful, he simply breaks apart into dozens of flitting shadows and vanishes, along with anything he is carrying or holding. At next sunset, the Shadowlord appears at a spot of his choosing within 1 mile of the place where he was forced to discorporate. While discorporated, the Shadowlord simply does not exist – he can do nothing, nor can his enemies do anything to him. Any spell or effect that would target the Shadowlord, such as scry, sending or gate, automatically fail.
