Mass Effect Now for the PC!

So Mass Effect just came out for the PC the other day and I've been considering buying it. I've heard several good things about it and it just seems like my type of game. For those of you whom have played it - Should I bother buying it? What game might you compare it to?
Also, as a sort of "Main Discussion", is it better for console games to be put for the PC? Personally I think "Yes". Mainly because I have a fairly decent PC that's been able to play every game I've ever put onto it, but because I don't have a X-Box 360 or PS3.
In terms of the business, is it good? It seems like sales for the game would go up. It can be argued that the company loses money due to pirating the software, but that happens if it's not for the PC anyways. Good only seems to come out of it moving to the PC. o.o

if you've ever played Knights of the Old Republic, it's basically that, just without the Star Wars aspects.
It's a pretty fun game. If you're into that kind of in depth Roleplaying Games, then you should have a lot of fun with it.

It is said that in the land of the blind, the man with one eye is king. I disagree. If the world were truly blind, no one would care what their one eyed king could see.

I played a little, and enjoyed it, although that was the beginning, so thus the slowest part of the game I'd assume. I've heard nothing but good things about it though. Once I get a competent PC, I definitely plan on acquiring it one way or another.

Accept the real. Strive for the ideal.

And I shall get it eventually.
Problem is I went into the city and searched around for it a bit and couldn't find it. So I ended up buying Final Fantasy XI Online. Ugh... How I regret that now. Not that I've played it yet to complain about the gameplay... But I shoulda thought of the subscription fees before. But I was in a hurry so I wasn't really thinking about that. Anyways, the problem is I'd be short on cash to buy it now. "Pfft, it's only fifty bucks." Ya, well, I also just bought a $300+ suit a little while ago for Grad, paid various other $200+ fees (Grad affiliated), and I still have to pay a $300 dollar fee to accept a dorm offer. So ya, I'm broke. T_T
And I was hoping to not have to "acquire it by other means." Ha. But if it is like KotOR I shall enjoy it a lot.

It's noble you at least attempted to buy it honestly. It doesn't really justify you perhaps pirating it now, but it does to me. People don't even have to make an effort. They try to make false justifications for piracy, that we deserve it, that it's owed to us...no it's not. The fact is, we want as much as we can for as little as we have to pay. And no one can stop us. They should just admit the truth.
I've always been curious about FFXI...not curious enough to check it out though. Still, they released an expansion several months ago, so it is popular enough to warrant that, despite the fact that I never hear about it, perhaps that means it's decent.

Well, the game's interesting. I haven't played through it all yet, but by the looks of things as they are, that game's plot itself isn't actually that long. Or maybe it just doesn't seem that long but actually is. Oh well I'll decide that after I beat the game.
I liked KotOR more though. The Ai's, specifically the allies, were more competent in KotOR. Also, dialogue was better in KotOR. Not the actual voices, just options. I can't really complain about the voices themselves - They were all well done. It's just that in KotOR you could be more evil, and the result was an exceedingly large amount of amusement and hilarity. I haven't really played the evil side yet, so I might just be missing it all together. I will play it through again after I beat it as an evil prick that don't take shit from no one. Muhaha.
Fun game though.
EDIT: And I returned FFXI for a refund. Yay.

And it's something that they very much should not do.
